The present invention relates to a device for calculating a correct response path of time series data using improved dynamic time warping (DTW) and a method thereof. A response path calculation device comprises: a feature extraction unit which performs discrete wavelet transform on each of a first time series signal and a second time series signal, extracts a first scale portion and a first detail portion from the first time series signal, extracts a second scale portion and a second detail portion from the second time series signal, divides the first detail portion based on an intersection of the first time series signal and the first scale portion, and divides the second detail portion based on an intersection of the second time series signal and the second scale portion; and a response path calculation unit which calculates a first response path by applying DTW to each of the divided first detail portions and the divided second detail portions and calculates a response path between the first time series signal and the second time series signal by using the first response path.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
