The present invention relates to a growth environment control system of a plant cultivator and a method thereof. The growth environment control system of a plant cultivator includes: a lighting device inducing the photosynthesis in a plant; a ventilation fan for ventilation; a control unit for selecting the types of plants; a moisture sensing unit for sensing the moisture; a brightness sensing unit for sensing the brightness; a memory for storing growth conditions corresponding to the plant type; and a control unit which receives the type of plants in accordance with the selection of the control unit and receives the current brightness and humidity from the brightness and humidity sensing units while controlling the brightness and humidity to correspond to the type of plants with reference to the memory. According to the embodiment of the present invention, the growth environment control system can provide a growth environment optimized for the plant type by controlling the brightness and humidity.
