The present invention provides a novel anthracene derivative and a novel organic compound. In addition, the present invention provides a light emitting element having high light emitting efficiency. Moreover, the present invention provides a light emitting element emitting a blue light with high luminous efficiency. Furthermore, the present invention provides a light emitting element capable of being driven for a long time. Besides, the present invention provides a light emitting device and an electronic device which reduce power consumption. Provided are an anthracene derivative of chemical formula 1 and an organic compound of chemical formula 17. In addition, a light emitting element having high light emitting efficiency can be obtained by using the anthracene derivative of chemical formula 1.
