The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the constant voltage constant frequency power supply (CVCF) energy storage system (ESS) capacity of a stand-alone micro grid and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for controlling the CVCF ESS capacity of a stand-alone micro grid comprises: an indirect voltage regulation (IVR) providing a compensation parameter for generating a compensation phase angle which can randomly change a system frequency which is generated in accordance with a change in a system load with regard to an inputted flat frequency if an ESS is operated in a CVCF control mode; and a DQ / ABC conversion unit performing a coordinate conversion from D/Q voltage into a three-phase alternating current voltage form to control a converter of the ESS by using the generated compensation phase angle.
