The present invention relates to a green tide removing agent comprising an egg shell powder and/or a coffee powder, and a production method thereof. The green tide removing agent comprising an egg shell powder does not generate further the growth of the green tide, rapidly improves turbidity in a green tide culture liquid so that the water becomes transparent, and remarkably reduces phosphorus concentration in the green tide culture liquid, thereby exhibiting an excellent effect in removing a phosphate material which is a cause of a green tide phenomenon. In addition, unlike loess or PAC, which is a conventional green tide controlling agent, the green tide removing agent has little influence on the pH of the water quality and thus a water quality improvement effect without affecting the aquatic ecosystem is shown, thereby being applied as an environmentally friendly green tide removing agent. When the green tide removing agent comprising the egg shell powder of the present invention is produced, a more excellent green tide removing effect is generated by comprising the coffee powder.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
