The present invention relates to an anti-inflammation and anti-allergic composition using an extract of Persicaria perfoliata, which inhibits the production of nitric oxide (NO) in macrophages stimulated by LPS (lipopolysaccharide) in a concentration-dependent manner, and also inhibits degranulation in the concentration-dependent manner when being treated to a mast cell line RBL-2H3 (rat basophilic leukemia) activated by IgE and antigen (DNP-BSA).
