An inductor and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The inductor comprises a coil formed of a conductor and having a serpentine shape. The coil may have an " S " shape. The coil may have two leads extending from opposite ends of the coil. The inductor body surrounds a portion of the coil and lead. The leads may be wrapped around the body to create contact points outside the inductor.
