Disclosed are a regression analysis-based landmark detection method for a dynamic human model and an apparatus thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the regression analysis-based landmark detection method comprises the steps of: generating a pose invariant coordinate which defines a pose invariant descriptor independent of a pose and a position of a landmark independent of a dynamic pose through training of human models for predetermined poses including the landmarks; obtaining regression coordinates of a human-shaped landmark input through a regression analysis using the pose invariant descriptor and the pose invariant coordinates; and detecting the input human-shaped landmark using the obtained regression coordinates.
