The present invention relates to a method for determining going out using a foot brace for a patient with dementia which transmits position data to a server through a wireless communication unit after checking the position data from a position sensor of a foot brace for a patient with dementia, determines going out of the patient of dementia from the server through the position data, and checks the going out time of the patient with dementia to notify a set target if the scheduled going out time is exceeded. The method for determining going out using a foot brace for a patient with dementia has remarkable effects of determining going out of the patient of dementia from a server as the foot brace for the patient with dementia mounting the position sensor is worn on an ankle of the patient with dementia, notifying a set target such as a protector, the police and the like if the scheduled going out time is exceeded, and guiding the patient home through a remote voice call connection of the set target or a position-based guide program connection.
