The present invention relates to an Internet of Things (IoT) apparatus and method for checking the condition of an electric vehicle charging station. More specifically, the present invention relates to an Internet of Things (IoT) apparatus and method to understand the current state of electric vehicles being charged or waiting to be charged for each charging station and to understand status information of the charging stations, thereby grasping if there are abnormalities in the charging stations. The present invention also relates to a condition checking and operating system using the same. To achieve the purpose of the present invention, the IoT apparatus for checking the condition of the electric vehicle charging station, as an apparatus for checking conditions of an electric vehicle charging area and a charger provided in the charging area, includes: a wireless communication unit in which data communications are performed; a sensor unit which includes at least one sensor for sensing the conditions of the electric vehicle charging area and the charger provided in the charging area; a memory which includes at least one logic having data types and conditions modulated through sensing of the sensor unit; and a control unit which processes the conditions of the electric vehicle charging area and the charger by the at least one modulated logic included in the memory.
