The present invention relates to a solar-based autonomous stand-alone micro-grid system using a DC-DC converter, to automatically adjust the generation amount of photovoltaic generation, and an operation method thereof. According to the present invention, the solar-based autonomous stand-alone micro-grid system comprises: a photovoltaic generator (10); a DC-DC converter (20) converting DC power supplied from the photovoltaic generator (10) to output converted power; one or more diesel generators (30); a power conversion device (40) converting AC power supplied from the diesel generator (30) into DC power; an energy storage system (ESS) (50) including a battery and storing the DC power supplied from the DC-DC converter (20) and the power conversion device (40); an inverter (60) converting the DC power of the ESS (50) into AC power to supply the AC power to an electric load (80); and a wattmeter (70).
