The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of an aluminum-titanium composite material and an aluminum-titanium composite material manufactured thereby, wherein the manufacturing method of an aluminum-titanium composite material comprises the following steps of: manufacturing mixed powder by milling aluminum powder and titanium powder; and performing spark plasma sintering for the mixed powder. Accordingly, the composite material has a light weight and improved mechanical characteristics.
