The present invention relates to a composition for controlling a plant disease and a method for controlling a plant disease using the composition. It contains, as an active ingredient, Cynopelia rhizomatichola strain IUM00035, a culture solution of the strain, a fraction of the culture solution or a compound isolated from the culture solution. The composition for controlling plant diseases is excellent in antimicrobial effect against pathogenic bacteria causing black spot disease, gray mold disease, anthrax disease, wilt disease, blast disease, plague, sheath blight, red rust, powdery mildew in plants. Therefore, it can be usefully used as a composition for controlling plant diseases.
