The present invention relates to a column reinforcing method using a V-shaped steel tie bar, the column reinforcing method allowing a V-shaped steel tie bar to be inserted into insertion holes formed in an existing column and fixed in concrete, so as to confine the concrete, thereby effectively and transversally reinforcing the column and a hardened body and the V-shaped steel tie bar filled inside the insertion holes to act as a shear connector, thereby eliminating the need for installation of a separate shear connector. The column reinforcing structure using a V-shaped steel tie bar according to the present invention reinforces an existing column made from reinforced concrete and having main reinforcing bars and steel tie bars surrounding the main reinforcing bars and comprises the steps of: (a) removing coated concrete of the existing column so as to expose external main reinforcing bars; (b) forming a plurality of insertion holes by drilling deep core concrete inside the main reinforcing bar so as to have a predetermined width and depth; (c) installing a V-shaped steel tie bar bent in a V-shape and having a pair of legs in such a manner that an inner side of the bent portion is in close contact with an outer side of the main reinforcing bar and the pair of legs is inserted into the insertion hole; and (d) restoring a cross section by placing a cured body on the outer surface of the existing column from which the coated concrete is removed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
