The present invention relates to a device for remotely accessing each web-based document storage server to edit a web-based document and an operation method thereof. According to the present invention, when receiving an access command with respect to a first web-based document storage server among a plurality of web-based document storage servers, the device selects a first adaptor matched with a first application programming interface (API) of the first web-based document storage server among a plurality of adaptors matched with an API of each web-based document storage server based on the access command. The device uses the first adaptor to convert the access command into an access request corresponding to a protocol of the first API and transmit the access request to the first API. Accordingly, even if a web-based document storage server applies an API having any protocol, the device can access the web-based document storage server.
