Cooling Tower of air separation plant for ironworks and Driving Method thereof

Disclosed are a cooling tower of an air separation plant for a steel mill and an operating method using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cooling tower includes: a tower housing scattering high-temperature coolant; a coolant supply line for supplying the high-temperature coolant to the upper part of the tower housing; a heat exchanging part placed in the tower housing to take air from the outside for exchanging heat with the scattered high-temperature coolant; and a discharge line placed in the lower part of the tower housing to discharge the coolant which has been cooled through the heat exchange. The heat exchanging part includes: a louver installed to enable the tower housing to take air from the outside; a storage tank storing liquid nitrogen as a heat exchange medium; and an air evaporator placed outside the louver to perform evaporation while lowering the air temperature before going through the louver. Accordingly, since the atmosphere evaporator is operated in the summer season when the air temperature is high, hot-temperature coolant can be effectively cooled.
