miR-205 Use of miR-205 for diagnosis of hearing loss

The present invention relates to miR-205 for diagnosis of hearing loss. More specifically, the present invention has selected miR-205 as microRNA for early diagnosis of hearing loss in mice with ototoxic hearing loss, and has confirmed that the expression of microRNA-205, from an early stage of hearing loss, continuously increases in stria vascularis and modiolus tissue samples of the ear and serum samples of the mice with ototoxic hearing loss, compared to normal mice of a control group. Thus, miR-205 of the present invention can be used as a biomarker for early diagnosis of hearing loss.
