The stereo expansion technique solves the problems inherent in stereo reproduction by utilizing the latest DSP technology for extracting information in the left (L) and right (R) stereo channels to create various new channels that feed processing algorithms . Stereo deployment techniques operate by transmitting common stereo information to listeners in a conventional manner to establish perceived location of players in the sound field with high accuracy and then use delay and frequency forms to provide additional auditory psychology- Lt; RTI ID = 0.0 forward / RTI as well as other directions. The additional clues create a sense of increased detail and transparency as well as establishing three-dimensional characteristics of the sound sources and the acoustic environment they perform. Also, as described, enhanced grouping is one aspect that can be implemented in accordance with the present invention.
