The present invention relates to an apparatus for converting a diagnostic image, a method therefor, and a computer readable recording medium recording a program performing the method. According to the present invention, the apparatus for converting a diagnostic image comprises: a classification unit for classifying a CT image into any one of a plurality of classifications according to a position of a single layer photographing the CT image when the CT image is input; and a conversion unit for converting the CT image into an MRI image through an artificial neural network previously learned by the classification.
