Disclosed are a cock sterilization device and a cock sterilization method of a water purifier. The cock sterilization device of the water purifier comprises: a sterilizing cover comprising an inner space capable of receiving a cock of the water purifier and an opening for allowing external exposure of an outflow portion which is an outflow portion of the cock, and rotating so that the outflow portion can be exposed to the outside through the opening or positioned in the inner space; and a rotating unit for applying rotational force to the sterilizing cover.
