The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition, an oral preparation, and eye drops for preventing or treating retinal disease or optic nerve disease, comprising a compound represented by chemical formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an effective component. The pharmaceutical composition, the oral preparation, and the eye drops may effectively prevent or treat retinal disease or optic nerve disease. In the chemical formula 1: A is O or S; R is a) a straight or branched C_1-C_5 alkyl group which is unsubstituted or independently or selectively substituted with one or more C_6-C_10 aryl groups, b) a benzyl group which is unsubstituted or independently or selectively substituted with one or more fluoro groups, chloro groups, bromo groups, or straight or branched C_1-C_4 alkoxy groups, or c) a benzyl group substituted with a hydroxy carbonyl group; and Y is H or a halogen atom.
