The present invention relates to a method for predicting maternal HEV infection or fetal survival prognosis due to HEV infection by confirming a ratio of AST/ALT or an expression level of cytokines in a sample isolated from a mother. When the expression levels of IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, IL-12, IFN- and TNF- among the cytokines are 200 pg/ml, 350 pg/ml, 1000 pg/ml, 4000 pg/ml, 4000 pg/ml and 1500 pg/ml or higher respectively or the ratio of AST/ALT is high in the sample isolated from a mother, it is possible to predict maternal HEV infection or fetal survival prognosis due to HEV infection.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
