The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, treating, or alleviating cystitis, comprising Lactobacillus crispatus KLB 46. According to the present invention, Lactobacillus crispatus KLB 46 prevents bladder endothelial cells from separating due to inflammations in bladder tissues, reduces the inflow of particular cells into bladder tissues, and suppresses the expression of inflammatory cytokines, COX-2 and IL-10. Thus, the present invention provides novel uses of Lactobacillus crispatus KLB 46 for preventing, treating, and/or alleviating cystitis, and as provided in the present invention, Lactobacillus crispatus KLB 46 may be utilized for various uses including medical uses and quasi-medical uses and as functional biomaterial and functional food material.
