The present invention relates to a water- and oil-repellent core-shell nanoparticle for paper coating, capable of water- and oil-repellent coating which is rigid and has durability, and a preparing method thereof, and a use thereof. The water- and oil-repellent core-shell nanoparticle of the present invention comprises: a core including a copolymer of repeating units represented by chemical formulas 1 and 2; and a shell including a copolymer of repeating units represented by chemical formulas 3 and 4.
