A red blood cell agglutination method and separation method and a reagent for erythrocyte agglutination which are capable of agglomerating red blood cells in a sufficient size instantaneously from a blood sample and capable of completely separating red blood cells from a blood sample are provided. The erythrocyte agglutination method of the present invention includes adding a solution containing a colonic acid-based surfactant and an acid to a blood sample.
