TCAM-BASED PHYSICAL UNCLONABLE FUNCTION CIRCUIT FOR HARDWARE SECURITY, SECURITY DEVICE INCLUDING SAME, AND METHOD OF GENERATING SECURITY VALUE USING SAME
A physical unclonable function (PUF) circuit using a ternary content-addressable memory (TCAM) structure consisting of a static RAM (SRAM) cell and a comparator comprises: the comparator to which an input voltage is applied; one or more SRAMs electrically connected to the comparator; a plurality of access transistors operated by receiving a read voltage and electrically connected to the SRAM; and a plurality of additional transistors electrically connected to the access transistors. The TCAM-based PUF circuit has an output voltage of the static RAM generated by using the input voltage and an intrinsic output value determined by a unique semiconductor structure of each of the plurality of access transistors and the plurality of additional transistors. By using the TCAM-based PUF circuit, it is possible to improve performance in terms of reliability, uniqueness, and consistency compared to a conventional memory-based PUF device and to obtain a standardized output value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
