The present invention relates to a device for setting waypoints of an unmanned autonomous operating vessel by considering the ocean physical environment which comprises: a data receiver which receives wide-area ocean weather data corresponding to a first area of the ocean; an ocean weather observing sensor unit which generates local ocean weather data corresponding to a second area of the ocean, smaller than the first area; an ocean weather comparing and analyzing unit which compares and analyzes the wide-area ocean weather data with the local ocean weather data, and generates analysis data; a waypoint generating unit which calculates an initial waypoint by input of a starting point and a destination; a waypoint correcting unit which corrects the initial waypoint using the analysis data and calculates the optimum waypoint; an unmanned autonomous operating vessel which is for unmanned autonomous operation; and a control unit which controls the ocean weather observing sensor unit, the ocean weather comparing and analyzing unit, the waypoint generating unit, the waypoint correcting unit, and the unmanned autonomous operating vessel. Therefore, the device and the method for setting waypoints of unmanned autonomous operating vessel by considering the ocean physical environment can minimize energy consumption, remarkably shorten time that takes to a destination, and help people arrive at the designated destination.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
