The present invention relates to a method for preparing a supported metallocene catalyst and a method for preparing polypropylene using the catalyst manufactured therefrom. According to the present invention, a supported metallocene catalyst which can provide an isotactic polypropylene polymer with excellent catalytic activity and low xylene soluble portion content can be prepared. The method for preparing a supported metallocene catalyst comprises the following steps: preparing a mixture including a racemic body and a meso isomer compound; dissolving the mixture in a solvent including toluene and hexane; filtering the mixture dissolved in the solvent and removing the solidified meso isomer; and removing the solvent from the filtered mixture and depositing the same in a carrier.
