The present invention relates to a motor winding switching system having an independent real-time winding switching function for each phase of a three-phase motor and stable switching current characteristics, which switches connection of windings of a motor to increase electric driving efficiency when the motor having a phase winding-variable structure drives an electric vehicle, and minimizes unstability of a current that may occur upon the switching. The motor winding switching system comprises: a battery supplying DC power; the motor driving wheels of the electric vehicle; a switch block consisting of a plurality of switches installed on the windings of the motor to switch the connection of the windings; an inverter transferring a three-phase output voltage to the windings of the motor when the DC power is supplied from the battery; and a motor winding switching switch control unit sensing the current of the motor and selectively turning on/off the switches of the switch block when the sensed current satisfies predetermined conditions. The motor winding switching system allows a system for driving the motor having a variable winding switching structure and capable of varying the windings in real time to be introduced, thereby being capable of obtaining optimum driving efficiency according to travel conditions when the electric vehicle travels.
