The present invention relates to a foreign language learning system using videos selected by learners as learning content, and a learning content generating method thereof. In addition, the present invention comprises: an image input unit which receives an image file to be used in learning and stores the same; a subtitle input unit which receives a subtitle file to store the same; a learning data generating unit which extracts information containing subtitle sentences contained in the subtitle file and emerging times and disappearing times of each of subtitle sentences to generate raw data, and processes the same to generate learning data containing a plurality of learning subtitles; an episode generating unit which, according to the number of learning subtitles of the learning data, generates a predetermined numbers of episodes for storing learning information containing learning proceeding states, the number of learning and learning time; and a learning content generating unit which matches a plurality of learning subtitles with a plurality of episodes in order to match at least one learning subtitle for each generated episode, and generates and stores learning content for synchronizing a play section of the image file for each learning subtitle. Accordingly, the present invention can generate learning content to be used in foreign language learning from videos selected by a learner such as movies, soap operas and the like.
