The present invention relates to a system for detecting spontaneous muscle activity signals in muscle activity signals under functional electrical stimulation, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the system for detecting spontaneous muscle activity signals comprises: a receiving unit receiving data from an EMG electrode under functional electrical stimulation; a memory in which a program for detecting spontaneous muscle activity signals by using the data is stored; and a processor executing the program.
