The present invention relates to a smart office variable seat occupying and monitoring system using a network. According to the present invention, the smart office variable seat occupying and monitoring system using the network comprises: a database which stores organization information of a user who uses a smart office, address information of a personal computer corresponding to the user, an extension number corresponding to the user, and a port number installed on each seat; a control unit which, when the user connects the personal computer to a port installed on each seat of the smart office, uses a simple network management protocol (SNMP), acquires the address information of the personal computer, and transfers the acquired address information and the port number to an authentication server; the authentication server which determines whether the user′s seat is occupied or not based on the database; and a kiosk which displays the seat layout of the smart office and the user who currently occupies the seat. Accordingly, the present invention is able to use the network SNMP, to make it flexible to occupy a seat whenever, wherever, and to contribute to building a smart office environment which is able to increase the collaboration and communication of users.
