The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of an optical fiber, which comprises the steps of: manufacturing the optical fiber having a central portion, both end portions thicker than the central portion, and an inclined portion positioned between the central portion and the both portions; positioning a heating member in the central portion; and tensioning the optical fiber in the first direction and simultaneously moving the heating member in the second direction opposite the first direction to heat the optical fiber and increase the length of the central portion of the optical fiber.
