How to predict responsiveness of wet AMD patients to anti-VEGF therapy

The present disclosure provides for (1) at least one marker selected from the group consisting of TGF-beta, BMP9, angiopoietin-1 and angiopoietin-2 in blood, plasma or serum samples taken from wet AMD patients. Determining the level of protein, and (2) predicting the patient's responsiveness to anti-VEGF therapy based on the level measured in step (1). Methods of predicting responsiveness and diagnostic agents for use in such methods are provided.
