The present invention provides a heat pump system. The heat pump system includes: a load side heat exchanger (10) exchanging heat with a load (80) side requiring heating and cooling; an expansion valve (50) connected to the load side heat exchanger (10) by a first refrigerant pipe (71); an underground heat exchanger (20) connected to the expansion valve (50) by a second refrigerant pipe (72); a heat source side heat exchanger (40) connected to the underground heat exchanger (20) by a third refrigerant pipe (73-1); a PVT module (30) including a photovoltaic heat exchanger (37) connected to the heat source side heat exchanger (40) by the third refrigerant pipe (73-2); a compressor (60) connected to the photovoltaic heat exchanger (37) by a fourth refrigerant pipe (74); a fifth refrigerant pipe (75) connecting the compressor (60) to the load side heat exchanger (10); and a refrigerant circulating in the refrigerant pipe (71, 72, 73-1, 73-2, 74, 75) in a normal or reverse direction. The refrigerant uses an eco-friendly CO_2 refrigerant, and direct current power produced by the PVT module is directly supplied to a direct current motor of the compressor without a direct current/alternating current converter.
