UART Method for Automatic Switching Communication Speed of UART

The present invention relates to a method which can solve a problem that only one speed can be assigned to a network in the existing art, by automatically switching a communication speed to a requested communication speed of high speed communication when a high speed communication request is received from another device while communicating with a low speed device. According to the present invention, an automatic switching method of a communication speed of a universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) comprises the following steps: (A) measuring a pulse width of the start bit using an interrupt signal through an interrupt detecting unit; (B) calculating a communication speed by using the time for which the measured pulse width is maintained through a communication speed detecting unit; and (C) converting a current communication speed to the calculated communication speed through a communication speed switching unit.
