Disclosed is a digital signage system for providing mixed reality (MR) contents comprising a three-dimensional object and markers, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, MR contents are produced by adding one or more markers based on a three-dimensional object generated through an exclusive tool or a three-dimensional object through object recognition of an image photographed through a camera, and the produced MR contents are provided through the digital signage device associated with sight, hearing, olfaction, etc. A variety of additional information associated with the three-dimensional object is provided and virtual experience and simulation functions of products are provided. Accordingly, satisfaction of a user can be increased and utilization of the MR contents according to requests of the user can be widened.
