Disclosed is an operating method of a software-defined network (SDN) controller placed in a distributed SDN containing a plurality of SDN switches and a plurality of SDN controllers. The operating method comprises the steps of: receiving a transaction containing network event information from at least one SDN switch among a plurality of SDN switches; determining a block generating subject based on at least other one SDN controller and a consensus algorithm; and if an SDN controller is determined as a generating subject of a block, generating a block containing a transaction to propagate the same to at least other SDN controller and a plurality of SDN switches. In addition, disclosed is an SDN switch operating method corresponding to the same. Accordingly, the present invention can provide a software defined network allowing a byzantine fault.
