Learning aids to understand tsunami basic generation principles and the minimal role of breakwaters

The present invention relates to a teaching material for understanding a basic principle of generation of tsunami, and a breakwater to reduce direct damage to seaside upon tsunami. To this end, the teaching material comprises: a water tank filled with water to represent a state of the ocean when tsunami occurs; a small box made to receive a stick inserted thereinto and allowing a box with the width of the water tank and the stick inserted thereinto to vertically move in the water tank; a large box fixed in the water tank to play a role of geology; the stick made of plastic to move the box; a breakwater formed with a lump made of rubber to play a role of weakening the power of the tsunami; and a building made of flour starch to be easy to break so as to experience the power of the tsunami. Accordingly, the principle of tsunami can be easily understood while personally investigating a cause of the tsunami and a direct effect on a building of the tsunami passing the breakwater can be understood.
