The subject matter disclosed herein provides compositions, kits, and methods comprising an imaging agent capable of detecting programmed apoptosis ligand 1 (PD-L1). The imaging agents disclosed herein can be used to detect diseases and disorders such as cancer, infections, and inflammation in a subject.
