The present invention relates to a creature sensing method within an airport public checked baggage autonomous processing apparatus using a doppler radar apparatus. According to one aspect of the present invention, a creature sensing method within a checked baggage is a method for sensing a creature within the checked baggage by using a doppler radar signal, which comprises: a step of transmitting a doppler radar signal; a step of receiving a doppler reverberation on which the doppler radar signal is reflected; a step of determining whether a value of the doppler reverberation is changed; a step of determining whether doppler reverberation variations are greater than a predetermined setting value if the value of the doppler reverberation is changed, and then controlling a creature sensing signal to be output if the doppler reverberation variations are greater than or equal to the predetermined setting value; a step of determining whether change of the value of the doppler reverberation shows a regular pattern or not if the doppler reverberation variations are less than the predetermined setting value; a step of determining whether the pattern of the doppler reverberation corresponds to a predetermined respiration pattern if the change of the value of the doppler reverberation shows the regular pattern; and a step of controlling a sensing signal for a creature in a stationary state to be output if the pattern of the doppler reverberation corresponds to the predetermined respiration pattern.
