The present invention relates to a G protein subunit γ8 (GNG8) gene knock-out animal model with autism. GNG8 gene knock-out mice exhibit social communication disorders and nest building behavior disorders, which are representative symptoms of autism, and thus can be useful for animal models for autism research or screening methods for autism treatment.
