The present invention relates to an upconversion nanocrystal which receives infrared light and emits color, and to an anti-counterfeiting system using the same and, more specifically, to an upconversion nanocrystal with modified color emission properties by the silica, which comprises: a host nanocrystal exhibiting upconversion properties; and a silica dopant formed on the inside and the outside of a lattice structure of the host nanocrystal.
