Single-Ended Docking of Femtosecond Lasers

The present disclosure provides an integrated patient interface for single docking of femtosecond lasers. The unitary patient interface includes an upper circular portion, a lower conical portion integrally formed with the upper circular portion, a pressure plate of the lower conical portion, and a vacuum connection. The platen plate may be at least partially coated with a platen plate coating that is substantially transparent to the therapeutic wavelength of the femtosecond laser and substantially reflective to the non-therapeutic wavelength. The present disclosure also provides a method for single docking a femtosecond laser, and a system for ablation of flaps on the eye using a femtosecond laser.
