Disclosed are a distribution network power management system and a power management method thereof. According to the present invention, the distribution network power management system of a customer in which an alternating current (AC) load and a direct current (DC) load coexist comprises: an AC/DC converter connected in parallel with a system of an AC load, generating DC distribution power corresponding to demand power, and supplying the generated DC distribution power to a DC load; and an AC load compensation unit using a large capacity capacitor of the AC/DC converter to compensate high frequency current and reactive power generated from the AC load.
