The present invention discloses a wiring harness design software automation method and an apparatus thereof. The wiring harness design software automation method comprises the following steps. A control unit receives an upload request of a sub-list file including general data of a wiring harness design circuit from an interface unit. The control unit uploads the sub-list file in response to the received request and acquires a wire length and an ambient temperature of each wire corresponding to the uploaded sub-list file from a storage unit. And, the control unit displays the wire length and the ambient temperature of each wire acquired by the control unit on an output unit.
