The present invention relates to a method for detecting a topographical change in real time using lidar data and a system therefor. Suggested is a method for quickly and effectively detecting a real-time topographical change. To this end, point cloud data with absolute coordinates are generated in real time based on LiDAR data. A real-time topographical change is detected through noise reduction, data loss, data matching and comparative analysis. Thus, the overall process is simple and the amount of data to be processed is significantly reduced. The method includes a new data acquisition step, a data preprocessing step, a data matching step, and a topographical change determination step.
