The present invention relates to a hexagonal boron nitride nanoplatelet/metal nanocomposite powder and a manufacturing method thereof comprising a base metal and hexagonal boron nitride nanoplatelet(s) (BNNP) dispersed in the base metal and acting as reinforcement material of the base metal. The hexagonal boron nitride nanoplatelet is coupled to the metal particles by being interposed in a thin film form of a plurality of layers between the metal particles of the base metal, and a content of the hexagonal boron nitride nanoplatelet in the base metal is greater than or equal to 0 vol% and less than or equal to 90 vol%.
