The image restoration method of an image receiving apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a step of decoding first data obtained by encoding masking image data in which the image data of a privacy region is blinded from original image data and restoring the masking image data; a step of selectively decoding second data which are encrypted image data of a plurality of privacy regions in response to the selection signal of at least one of the plurality of privacy regions; and a step of synthesizing the restored masking image data and the image data of the decoded at least one privacy region and generating an output image from which the blind of the at least one privacy region is selectively released.
