A system for predicting walking ability is provided. The system for predicting walking ability comprises: a foot stamping walking characteristic acquisition unit providing a subject with a virtual walking environment and acquiring foot stamping characteristic information of the subject according to the virtual walking environment; a motion detection unit detecting body movement of the subject and extracting walking pattern information of the subject from body movement information of the subject; a database unit storing the walking pattern information of the subject for each foot stamping characteristic of the subject; a standard walking pattern information generation unit analyzing a relationship between the walking pattern information of the subject and the foot stamping characteristics of the subject, and generating standard walking pattern information corresponding to the foot stamping characteristics of the subject by machine learning; and a walking ability prediction unit predicting the walking ability of a new subject by substituting foot stamping characteristic information acquired from the new subject for the standard walking pattern information. The present invention can reduce equipment and manpower for walking prediction.
